Michelle has been a fan of Wellness Hot Yoga in North Andover, MA for several years.  Originally curious about how hot yoga could help her with some lower back issues, she tried a class and was hooked.  Owner Teri Almquist has built supportive community in her studio over the past 12 years.  Her loyal students have many different reasons for coming, and all share a common love for this type of yoga practice.  

Currently Wellness Hot Yoga has a host of classes on their website for free.  She is also generously giving away a free month of yoga, to be used when the studio reopens.  Wouldn't this be a great act of self-care to start now and look forward to once we can leave our houses again!?  We would be thrilled if the gift card went to someone in the restaurant/service industry or medical field. We had a blast filming our February Community Spotlight with Simply Fit & Fun in Reading, MA!  Stefanie and Danielle's energy is infectious, and they have one of the best Zumba classes in the suburbs North of Boston!

We are thrilled to be kicking off a three month health series for our Community Spotlight videos!  January through March we'll feature some of our favorite businesses that focus on healthy living.  All of these business are women run and work North of Boston!  Since January is the time to set goals for the new year, we thought Jen Finnegan of holistichealthjourney.org was the perfect person to start with.  Jen is a mind body and wellness coach based out of Marblehead, MA, but often holds retreats around New England.  She helps men, woman and children ages 5 and up through mindfulness, meditation, yoga and plant based nutrition.
